Must....Keep.....Knitting.....

SarahKnits

I sure love to knit. I found this pic that my sister took a while back at a BBQ. That's right. I can't even go to a party without my knitting. I have been told I have a problem. I just keep telling people that I am not alone! There are hundreds out there just like me!

So, tell me.... Where is the strangest place you have ever knit? Is it scandalous? Is it dirty? (eewwww!) Dirty or not, be honest! Holla back with your best weird place knitting story. I am curious and need the ammunition to fire back at my buds who think I have some kind of illness.

I'm Baaaack!

Phew!

What a week!!!! I don't have pics yet, but Maine was fab-you-luss! The Kyra-dog was a happy little camper and did lots of swimming in the lake and running in the woods - and even jumped off the dock!! Woo! A good time was had by all and it was great to see the fam. I love my aunt and uncle - they are the coolest cats you'd ever meet. And it was super great to share my favorite place with my favorite person. I am soooo glad he came with me! He had a good time :) And he was invited to come back before we even left :) Life is good.

The rest of the week was spent loafin 'round the house with Caitlin as my sidekick. That girl is a riot. Whike we were in Maine, it had been disclosed that our mom didn't want to let her dye her hair blue (no one knows why - she has in fact dyed her hair various colors before). So, they had been going back and forth about it for a while when my mom complained that Caitlin had still not gotten her ears pierced, and why didn't she get to it already? Well, Cait is very perceptive for a 14 year old and picked up on this inconsistency right away...... "So.... I can put extra holes in my body, but coloring my hair is right out? OK Mom, I'll make you a deal - I'll get my ears pierced if I can dye my hair blue - and I'll throw in a nose-ring for free!!!"

LOL

My mom turned a certain shade of red and informed Caitlin that SHE was in charge of this situation and would decide whatever she wanted - for whatever reason she wanted - and it was none of Caitlin's concern. She had put her foot down! Well, a couple of hours later, the foot came back up with little explanation. Caitlin could put her little blue streaks in her hair, but was informed that this by no means meant that she was a pushover or lacked control over her youngest daughter. Sigh. Too funny.

We had a really good time together during the week - we went to get pedicures and manicures and went shopping. AND - I taught her how to knit! Hoorah!! She did really great - she has a lot of patience, so she stuck with it even through her mistakes! Yay! So I took her out and bought her some inexpensive yarn for her first project - she decided on a garter stitch scarf to start her out - good call Cait!!!

She left on Saturday and I miss her already.

'Twas a great week off and am now just trying to adjust to getting back to work...... how do I do this every day? Gosh, one week off and it's become quite the task trying to get myself to rush around again..... Maybe things aren't meant to be this way.......

Well, pictures are on their way - and DSL has been restored at La Casa del McNally! Alas, now it seems the router does not want to cooperate...... But we are getting there! Slowly...............

More later on..... TTFN!!!! ;)
