A New Project

Well, I am rolling right along with Charlotte and have almost one whole sock done - but I was craving something new..... So I dove into my stash and scoured my books and mags and came up with a winning combination! I am going to use all that beautiful Rowan Summer Tweed I had been staring at to make the Silkroad Cardigan by Jo Sharp, which can be found in the Fall 2004 issue of Interweave Knits. I had to go down a size in the needles, but it's knitting to gauge now and lookin good so far! This sweater has very simple construction and I can no longer resist it's beauty... It has been calling to me :)

I'll still be plugging away with Charlotte, but I needed another project since I so often knit by mood at this point. And sometimes lace just isn't what I want.....

Progress pics soon, my pretties.

p. s. if anyone out there has 2 or 3 skeins of Rowan Summer Tweed in Oats, give a holler if you'd like to trade - I'm using Rush for the body, but need Oats for the collar.....  ;)

I absolutely love that sweater! Someday, I will get around to making it. I can't wait to see pictures of yours.
