My First Quilt-Along
Oh, hello. :)
Welcome to a shiny new addition to Scissorina. A few of my scissor buddies and I have been blabbing it up about how great it would be to make a quilt... We all have sewing machines and some of us have made simple, little quilts before but none of us feel really confident in our skills. We started thinking that we should all make our quilts at the same time - that way we could help one another with our problems and share little tricks we each figure out.
Then I remembered - duh! - I have a website! We could totally make this even more inclusive and throw it on the 'net! Thus was born the Beginner's Bee. Shoot me an email (sarahATscissorinaDOTcom) to sign up and I'll add you to the list of participants and give you all the handy dandy info you need to start posting away!
And since we all know that quilts take time to make (well, at least I know mine will!), I'm planning on keeping this puppy running for the entire year of 2006! Or until we all decide we don't want to do it anymore. Whichever comes first :)
Our official start date will be January 2, 2006 (I won't dare to say New Year's because all the scissorinas round here will be sleeping in and nursing a headache that day fer sure) - but jump in anytime!
